ScopeHand

Limited pilot

Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information ScopeHand handles and how it is used during the limited pilot.

Information ScopeHand handles

Contractors provide account and authentication information, business details, and the estimates and customer communications they create in ScopeHand.

Customers or contractors may provide names, contact details, service addresses, job descriptions, and job photos. ScopeHand also records estimate status and customer approval or decline decisions.

Operational and security logs may record limited technical information needed to run, protect, and troubleshoot the service. ScopeHand is designed not to place passwords, private access tokens, or full customer records in those logs.

How information is used

ScopeHand uses this information to provide account access, collect and organize job requests, prepare and share estimates, record decisions, deliver service email, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

AI-assisted analysis

When a contractor requests analysis, ScopeHand may send contractor- or customer-provided job descriptions and photos to an AI service provider. The resulting analysis may identify supported facts, inferences, missing information, follow-up questions, and possible materials.

AI output is assistive decision support and may be wrong or incomplete. Contractors must review it. AI does not set estimate pricing.

Service providers and sharing

ScopeHand may use service providers for hosting, database and file storage, email delivery, and AI-assisted analysis. Information is shared with them only as needed to provide those functions or protect the service.

ScopeHand does not sell contractor or customer data.

Security

ScopeHand uses reasonable access controls and operational safeguards appropriate to an early pilot, including restricted access to private job photos. No online service can promise absolute security.

Retention and deletion

ScopeHand retains account, business, job, photo, estimate, and decision data while it is needed to provide and operate the service. Recovery backups also exist.

Pilot users may request account or data deletion through the support contact provided during onboarding. A request may require removal from active systems followed by later expiration from recovery backups. Exact timing depends on operational and legitimate recordkeeping needs, so ScopeHand does not promise an immediate deletion period.

Questions or concerns

Use the support contact provided during pilot onboarding for privacy questions, security concerns, or deletion requests.
